Senior executives from the company joined panel sessions on topics from business strategy in a time of profound change to artificial intelligence and smart agriculture.

CTO Will Mudge was featured in a panel on using Gen AI to optimize ground segment operations, where he highlighted practical applications for the technology. “We’re extending AI to the edge with our SIGMA intelligent network management platform,” he said, “to bring more value to our customers.”

CFO Clint Stewart shared insights on the company’s strategy and execution in a CFO Forum panel, emphasizing the company’s focus on leveraging Starlink and OneWeb services to maintain growth in existing markets and enter new ones. “We saw what was happening in the market years ago,” said Clint, “and put a plan in place that we’re executing on in today’s changing market. We’ve leveraged the introduction of LEO, which opened up opportunities for us to deliver services to new markets and customer sets. Because we have 100+ entities and boots on the ground globally, we can enter new sectors and industries faster.”

James Trevelyan, EVP, Global Sales & Marketing, described Speedcast’s work bringing cost-effective, multipath satellite connectivity to agriculture to drive innovation. “We’re currently completing roll-out of a project for the largest agriculture business in Malaysia,” James reported. “The connected farms are enabling reduced technical and regulatory-type visits that can now be monitored remotely or automated. The improved connectivity is also bringing added value to their renewables and by-products initiatives. But we have more work to do to help the agriculture sector become more open to technology solutions that can bring value to their operations.”

In panel sessions, meeting rooms and on the show floor, SIGMA was the key focus of discussions, for its unique ability to integrate LEO services into a high-reliability, high-performance solution.

SIGMA manages Speedcast’s global GEO, MEO and LEO connectivity, L-band backup, and terrestrial cellular, microwave and fiber. From multiple dynamic paths, it automatically maintains secure wide-area networks with very high uptime to support the broadest range of customer applications, plus value-added services from cybersecurity to virtual machines.
